The surroundings

Located in Den Burg, niyunā is the perfect base to explore Texel. From your stay, you can cycle to the beach in around 15 minutes, where over 30 kilometres of wide sandy shoreline await. The lively centre of Den Burg, with its shops and restaurants, is within walking distance.

The island offers endless opportunities for both relaxation and adventure. Visit seal sanctuary and nature museum Ecomare, go mudflat hiking, taste fresh oysters or explore Texel by bike through dunes, nature reserves and vast landscapes. In spring, you will find lambs all across the island, while in the north, the iconic lighthouse with its 118 steps offers stunning views. Nature reserve De Slufter, where the sea flows freely, is another must-see.
